You'll want to be down on the Strand for the official kick off of Mardi Gras on Friday February 2nd. The kickoff parade route starts at 25th & Mechanic Street, circles around Mechanic & Strand Street, stretching from 25th to 20th starting at 7PM. This parade is packed with marching bands, dancing squads & tons of energy. Also rolling in this party parade is Carne’s Fleet of Bumpin’ Busses, The Union Fire Truck & various local Floats throwing Beads & other Mardi Gras treats! Get ready to shake it!
Following this parade is The Funky Uptown Umbrella Brigade at 8:30.

Flip Flop Flamingo and Driftwood Dreams Beach Condos are already booked for the Friday events, but Aquatic Sol Pool House and Pelican Pad Beach Condo are still available for the first weekend of the big Galveston Mardi Gras party.
